10.09.09: Bryan Herta Autosport concluded it's first season in the Firestone Indy Lights Series today with a 12th place finish at Homestead-Miami.
I dropped a note to Indianapolis Motor Speedway historian Donald Davidson asking about drivers from North Carolina who had tasted success during the modern era of open-wheel racing. Donald couldn't come up with a single Tar Heel that had ascended to the level of Herrington. Not one.
08.29.09: Daniel Herrington, driving the No. 28 LeBleu/Bryan Herta Autosport car, overtook Wade Cunningham and James Davison following a Lap 41 restart and held off Davison by 0.0613 of a second in the Chicagoland 100 at Chicagoland Speedway.
